The One-Touch Platinum Grill is loaded with clever extras that turn classic Weber design into a grilling machine. We start with a heat and weather-resistant thermoset plastic work table to make grill-side seasoning and preparation easy. The grill and table are set in a rugged heavy-gauge steel tube cart frame and adorned with three handy tool holders. To facilitate indirect cooking by heaping coals on either side of the grill grate, we placed charcaol rails in the 18-1/2-inch model, and char-basket fuel holders in the 22-1/2-inch model. Then we added a convenient tuck-away lid holder to create a windshield for lighting the grill (and to hold the lid while you tend to the food), and tucked a wire storage rack below. Other key features included are the stainless steel one-touch cleaning system, a hinged cooking grate for easy, safe, and quick addition of charcoal; and a high-capacity ash catcher. The result? A kettle so fancy we had to call it Platinum. Available in two sizes: 18-1/2" and 22-1/2" diameter.At 38 inches high, 46 inches wide, and 28-1/2 inches deep, the One-Touch Platinum grill from Weber is durable, convenient, and loaded with extras--everything we're used to seeing in a Weber grill. The sleek porcelain-enameled bowl and lid are easy to clean with Weber's One-Touch cleaning system. Simply move a lever on the outside of the aluminum ash catcher to rotate stainless-steel blades in the bottom of the kettle, sifting any debris from inside the grill to the ash catcher. The triple-nickel-plated hinged cooking grate has flip-up sides so you can add charcoal briquettes quickly and safely. Specially designed charcoal fuel holders make indirect grilling simple. The tuck-away lid holder allows you to slide the lid back and forth easily, and it can serve as a windshield on breezy days. Glass-reinforced handles keep your hands cool when you're checking your feast. A thermoset work surface that is heat- and weather-resistant offers a convenient place for your platters, condiments and marinades, or cutting boards. And you'll never have to worry about what to whip up for dinner: Weber includes a cookbook full of delectable recipes for burgers, chicken, and fish.
Supporting the grill is a tube cart frame made from heavy-gauge steel sealed in weather-resistant polyurethane enamel coating. If you like to hang your cooking tools while waiting for your feast to finish, you'll appreciate the three tool holders attached to the bottom of the work surface. When you're ready to roll the grill away for the day, place your tools on the wire rack underneath and push the grill to its resting place on two crackproof, all-weather wheels.
